Sushant Singh Rajput’s death on Sunday morning at his apartment in Bandra, Mumbai has left everyone in a deep shock. He was just 34, and died of suicide. The actor, who started out with acting in television shows, went on to make his Bollywood debut with the film Kai Po Che. He left a mark with his performance, after which he went on to give stellar performances in other movies such as Kedarnath, PK, Chhichhore, among others. His performance in MS Dhoni: The Untold Story is considered one of his more remarkable ones. Sushant’s death has left cricketer MS Dhoni very morose.

MS Dhoni’s manager Arun Pandey spoke to ABP Ananda on Sunday and revealed how impressed Dhoni was with Sushant’s portrayal of the titular role in MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, and how he admired his dedication towards the role. Arun said, “We can’t even believe what has happened. I am not in a position to express my grief. Mahi is also very morose. Such a tragic incident.” He further revealed that Sushant used to practice under former cricketer Kiran More’s guidance, who taught him how to keep wickets.

“I still remember that Sushant had a bad side strain during practice and even there was a crack in his backbone. But he was confident, worked hard in rehabilitation and recovered within a week. Even Mahi was impressed to see his dedication to work,” revealed Arun Pandey.

He further revealed that Sushant Singh Rajput would work all night and was desperate to play the role of MS Dhoni with utmost perfection. “He used to say that since he got the opportunity to portray Mahi on screen, he will give his best. It was not easy to play the role of Mahi on screen. But Sushant made it look easy. Mahi and we all knew that he was the best person to play the character,” said Arun.

Meanwhile, Bollywood actors Kriti Sanon, Shraddha Kapoor, Randeep Hooda, Vivek Oberoi, Varun Sharma, and more have reached the Pawan Hans crematorium in Vile Parle for Sushant Singh Rajput’s funeral.
